Terms of Service
Effective April 29, 2026
These terms set out how Pilate works for the studios and people who use it. We try to keep them straightforward — read them carefully and reach out if anything is unclear.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating a Pilate account or using the product, you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you are using Pilate on behalf of a studio or business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Accounts and roles
Pilate supports studio owners, instructors, and clients. Each role has different permissions inside the product:
- Studio owners are responsible for the accuracy of studio configuration, schedules, and any data they upload about instructors or clients.
- Instructors are responsible for keeping their availability and class notes current.
- Clients are responsible for the accuracy of their own profile information and bookings.
You must keep your credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Pilate to violate any law or third-party right.
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, or harmful.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the product or its infrastructure.
- Use automated systems to overload the platform or extract data in a way not contemplated by the product.
- Resell or sublicense access to Pilate without our written consent.
4. Studio content and AI agent
You retain ownership of the data your studio puts into Pilate. By using the product you grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that data so we can operate the service on your behalf — including running the AI agent features inside your account.
The AI agent surfaces suggestions and drafts. It is a tool, not a decision-maker. You are responsible for reviewing any agent action before it takes effect on your studio.
5. Fees and billing
Some Pilate features are paid. Pricing, billing cadence, and refund terms are presented at the time of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or specifically stated. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for recurring fees until you cancel.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if your account creates a security or compliance risk, or if we are required to by law. You may cancel your account at any time from settings. Following cancellation, we will retain or delete data per our Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers
Pilate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim, to the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the product will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pilate will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Terms or the product is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $100 if you have not paid us anything.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pilate and its affiliates from any claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the product, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
10. Changes to the service or terms
We may update Pilate or these Terms over time. If we make a material change to the Terms, we will notify you in-product or by email before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
